self portrait assignment for my oil painting class from a couple of weeks ago. 16x20 i think

my favorite parts are the nebula in the background, it was fun painting those. and as always, they’re better seen in person. there are 2 quotes on the trees, they read “The universe is wider than our views of it. -Henry David Thoreau” and “Man is a universe within itself. -Bob Marley”
