self portrait assignment for my oil painting class from a couple of weeks ago. 16x20 i think
my favorite parts are the nebula in the background, it was fun painting those. and as always, they’re better seen in person. there are 2 quotes on the trees, they read “The universe is wider than our views of it. -Henry David Thoreau” and “Man is a universe within itself. -Bob Marley”

still needs work, finished it last minute as always. but i don’t know if i’ll get back to working on it. gotta start new paintings. another abstract painting, a mural concept, and a semi-conceptual self portrait to come sometime over the next couple of weeks
